The Paper Store and more….

Our morning started with a fancy coffee for Lauren before we got on the Hop on Hop off bus tour. We made it about 3/4 of the way through the bus tour before we got off to check out the Lego store and grab a snack. We built our own little “selves” out of Lego – it was fun!

We attempted to get back on the bus tour, but the stop we were hoping to get on was apparently closed, but no one said anything – the buses just kept driving by, so we gave up and took public transit to the University district.

Lauren wanted to visit this paper store and yarn store. On the way to these stores, we stopped by a few stores to shop, I didnt buy anything, but we saw super cool stuff, I found a whole bunch of travel journals and travel accessories – but I didnt buy any of it.

The paper store was SOOO cool, I took videos instead of pictures, so I dont have any to post, but there was a bar on the roof where we hung out for a bit after spending lots of time in the store exploring. There was paper, pens, pencils, fancy paper for artists, paint, wrapping paper – EVERY KIND OF PAPER. It was 5 stories of paper!! After the paper store, it was off the yarn store – which was like a baby Joann Fabrics. We headed back to the hotel after our University time to get ready for our fancy dinner.

Lauren is VERY good at picking the best places to eat. She found this place called Virens. We decided to do a chef’s tasting menu. It was some of the most beautiful and flavorful food Ive ever had. It was such an experience! The front door doesnt even open from the outside, they have to let you in! We got lucky with a window table, but forgot to get our picture taken there.

After our many course meal, we headed back to The National so I could get more gelato and use the super cool bathroom again. We headed back to the hotel because tomorrow is a super early morning – we are off to Mallorca.
